| Hey, My computer screen came too dark (don't ask me why) so I downloaded the new Nvidia driver for my GeForce4 MX 440 64MB card.
What I Do: I go into the properties of the card and turn up the brightness (actually, I have a configuration saved, and I just click on that) and then apply the settings. Everything's fine and a lot brighter.
What Happens: When I turn off the computer, and then turn it back on. Once the desktop comes up again, all the display settings have returned to default, and I have to go back through all the windows (about 5 of them) and configure the settings again.
Anyone know what's up?

| ..make sure you have the correct monitor drivers installed. I used to have that problem when I let XP/ 98 just use the PNP (plug n play) default svga monitor drivers.
