I absolutely love my Epsons. I have an Epson Stylus Photo 825 and an Epson Stylus C82. They are not expensive to purchase, especially the C82. The consumables are the most expensive, as they are with any inkjet printer. I have two Olympus Digital cameras. The results from these two printers are (my opinion) excellent. The 825 also has card readers built in. One other thing, the quality of the printed photo is dependent upon the photo itself, the ink used (NEVER use ink refill kits) and the paper stock. I have tested these printers and there is a slight but noticable difference in printed quality using Epson papers. I do not work for or sell Epson products by the way. I also like Epson printers over HP printers (also very good!) because of the paper path that the printers use. The Epson is more of a straight line thru the printer and the HP uses a 180 turn within the printer itself. The straight thru path seems to allow better result with heavier paper stock. I would love to get the new Epson 900 by the way because it also direct prints on CDs and still is very reasonably priced.

Alfred,

Thank you for comprehive report on the epson..Because of the money I am leaning toward the c82...do you have any problelems with the epsons if they have not been used in while..ie inkdrying up..and if so what type of maintainence do you have to do to keep from clogging,
