| Whenever I attempt to burn a CD in Roxio Easy CD and DVD Creator 6, I get the following error message.
E8004183D: Command error - invalid field in CDB - [05/24/00]
I have tried everything I can think of: I have reinstalled the software, downloaded software updates, downloaded hardware updates, tried different brand CD-R's, disables all other programs (Norton antivirus, etc.), etc.
I am running windows XP Home on a Dell Dimension XPS T700r. I am using a Sony CD-RW CRX100E to attempt to burn the discs. Please help...any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

| This error message often apears (atleast in Nero) when you have powersaving (monitor eg,) on.
Another reason for this errorcode is that MCN/ISRC (International Standard Recording Code) is faulty.
Turn that off and try again

| I would try using Nero after Zopermans suggestion as I find this to be far superior than Roxio
