| A relative asked if I could make her a CD with some songs. The thing is that her CD player doesn't read mp3's. It is capable of using CDr's though.
How can I format a song on a CDr so her CD player can read it? |

| | Well, just burn an audio CD in Nero. The format will automatically be set to .CDA which is the standard CD Audio format every CD-player can handle. The downside is, you cannot put a 100 or so songs on the CD because the CDA format is much less compressed than MP3. And you obviously lose the compression... |

| Binary was spot on there
as an alternative to Nero you can also have a look at the following program, it has a nice and easy interface and it's sole purpose is to do exactly what your query asked

| Thanks for the help!
So I guess WMP doesn't have the option?
I have Roxio Easy CD Creator, will that convert the files to CDA as well? |

| Easy CD Creator will also convert to the correct format, I just find Nero to be a far superior program + the MP3 Burner I mentioned is so easy to use

| I'll check out Nero Wez.
Is it true that stereo systems won't play CDRW's? |

| As long as the information burned to the cd is in CDA format it should play, I have played a CDRW in my stereo
But you tend to find that everyone just uses normal blank CD's as it would be a waste to copy a music album to a CDRW, most people just use those for data backup.
But I can understand your query if you want to test this first to save wasting blank Cd's, so yeah it should work
