| ive mapped two network drives (D: = the d drive on a networked machine, etc), but whenever i start up the computer they've got red x's thru them (in windows explorer). when i double click on them i get in just fine, and after that - no more red x's.
the reason i would like to remedy this is that i have software that starts up from the windows start-up folder. because these drives are not "ready" until i double click on them, the software fails because it can't access the drives.
is there some setting that will initiate network drives on windows start up?
thanks,

| When you mapped the network drive, did you check the 'reconnect at log-on' box in the dialog for the mapping tool? (Just starting at the easy stuff!)
