Personally I had nothing but problem with Firebird and it also doesn't have the features of Mozilla. But if you want it you uninstall Mozilla as you would any other app - Add/Remove programs, and you can get Firebird from Mozilla.org.

Firebird can do anything IE can do and more! My favorite thing about FB is that you can use tabs to browse. You don't have to open another instance of FB just to visit another page and keep the other ones open.

I've been using it for about 6 days now and not one crash.     No problems installing the Flash plugin either on my end. Of course all computers are different. Hey Portor, you should report those crashes on the Firebird forums. that's what Firebird/Mozilla is all about. working togeher to make it better. You have to remember, Firebird isn't even 1.0 yet. It's 0.6.

I hate to break the news to you guys, but Mozilla is dead. The next Mozilla Suite is going to be packaged with the Firebird browser. No more development for the old browser. Better start getting yourselves accustomed to Firebird.

Where did you hear that Vector? I liked Firebird but it crashed a lot on me, there isn't as much research and testing with Firebird as there is with Mozilla, I would assume that if Mozilla is disontinued they would perfect Firebird and make it more feature laden and more stable. Are you sure you aren't thinking of Netscape being dead? In any case as long as they continue to improve one of the builds they can call it whatever they like.

Hey, how's it going mnosteele?

The Mozilla Firebird website says that the next Suite will be packaged with Firebird. And that development for the old Mozilla browser will stop. Here's a link:

Mozilla Firebird

I'm not exactly sure if this news has anything to do with the recent death of Netscape, but it's a pretty big coincidence.
