| what are some settings to change on my nic card, registry, tcp/ip, or others that will help me "see" what the server is really doing, or is the goal really just to get a stable ping. anyways some nic setting i have are early tx threshold and recieve buffer size. my nic card is a realtek rtl8139/810x

| There really isn't anything you can do to lower your latency, it is determined by your ISP. Just make sure you tweak your connection as you would for optimum bandwidth and you have your NIC duplex mode set properly.
