Hi I have asked this question somewhere before but not sure where, so I appologise if it was here, I also did a search and didn't find anything,

What I want to know is, in which folder can I find the hotfixes in? I have to reformat and don't want to download them again so I want to save them and then reinstall them again later,

I remember the answer I got originaly had something to do with doing a search with the $ or something but tried that and no luck

I would be grateful for any help

They should be the first entries in your Windows fodler - but those are the UNINSTALL entries, not the hotfixes themselves. Unless you actually downloaded & saved rather than installed the hotfixes, they will have to be installed again from Windows Update.

Thanks for your reply Allan,

You're right about the uninstall for the hotfixes being in the main folder, but I installed them after I downloaded them and I did find them months ago somewhere, so I know they are on my comp somewhere, which is the problem, maybe they are in a hidden or system folder?

I'll keep looking in the mean time anyway

Thanks again

Wouldn't know about that... But when on the Windows Update site, I usually click on "Read more" for each update then download the hotfix manually.

Sometimes you can find unremoved hotfixes in the WUTemp folder.  This folder can be on any drive, but only in the root.
