Hey everyone… I had some time off today and wanted to stop in and say hi…

HI!!!!!!!

Say I'd like to ask everyones help too…

My friend Pat manages a large convenience store here in town and just started to use this "pre paid calling card" program.

He's got allot of customers that speak languages other then english and he would like to be able to create some signage that advertises the calling cards in other languages, he's very respectful that way.

He tried using babel fish, but you all know that while it translates the words it doesn't conjugate the verbiage very well

If anyone can help me translate the following phrases into their respective languages so they read correctly I'd be extremely grateful.

Great International Rates!

Pre-paid calling cards to fit any budget!

Recharge your cellular phones here too!

Thank you for shopping at "Your Open Pantry Store"!

The languages he'd like to translate to are…

Spanish (done… Thanks funky dredd at Bit-Quest)
French (done… Thanks Scotty!)
Italian (done… Thanks lacurus!)
German (done… Thanks yoyo!)

(if possible, I can install language/ font support to print it for him…)

Russian (done… Thanks Nicky at Bit-Quest!)
Tai
hmong

If anyone can help me

Hey Allan!

Sorry to be away so long, but if you knew me any better you would know how picky I am about my job.

Heh Heh, I've put in 80+ hours each of the last two weeks, most of the time spent inspecting all the client sites I’m responsible for so that I can see if there are any "potential" problems that may have been created by sloppy or "rushed" work.

Plus there is always that "He's a NEW manager, so he wont KNOW anything…" thing to go thru with all the employees I'm in charge of (well really only 4 of them, but it's still the same…)

I've barely had time to even just check my email (only checked it three times in the past two weeks! Each time was over 600 messages, 90% of which were junk mail

Jon

P.S. I like the new forum software, the only thing I dont like is that the post box's displays in HTML  , so I cant right click and use the check spelling with ieSpell. So I have to cut and past it to word, but it copies as html and takes a moment to past into a word document.

Great you are back again.

Here's the German version for your friend

Großartige internationale Tarife!

Pre-paid Telefonkarten für jeden Geldbeutel!

Laden Sie Ihre Handys hier auf!

Danke für Ihren Einkauf bei "Your Open Pantry Store"!

(Didn't forget to translate prepaid that's the German word for it.)

SWEET YOYO

Thanks so much!

P.S. Does "Your Open Pantry Store" translate? allot of his customers only speak/ read in their native languages and Open Pantry is well known for it's customer service and such, it might be nice to be able to put an easier "comfortable" name on the place. yah Know?
.... allot of his customers only speak/ read in their native languages ....
Doubt if this is true. People from Europe are used to that. Any advertisement wherever it may appear is a mix of the native language and English (some products like perfume also need some additional French ). Don't know if it is true but heard that this mixed language (called franglais there) is prohibited now in France.

Anyway "Your Open Pantry shop" would translate "Ihr offene Speisekammer Laden", this will likely cause a smile, probably better "Ihr Open Pantry Laden".

Heres the French:

Grands Taux Internationaux!

Télécartes prépayées pour adapter tout budget!

Rechargez vos téléphones cellulaires ici aussi!

Merci de faire des emplettes à "votre magasin ouvert d'office"!

Here's the Spanish:

¡Grandes Tarifas Internacionales!

¡Tarjetas para el teléfono pagadas por adelantado para caber cualquier presupuesto!

¡Recargue sus teléfonos portátiles aquí también!

¡Gracias por hacer compras en "su almacén abierto de la despensa"!

and if it is wrong
