| Every time I restart my computer and then do a registry clean with jv16PowerTools I get a bunch of keys like this:
HKEY_Current_User Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder\Start Menu2\Programs\Free Surfer (free surfer is an example, as this same key appears for most of my programs)
I highlighted Star Menu2 because I notice these entries only appear after I restart my PC. Once I delete them through the registry clean up, I don't see them again untill I restart.
So I guess my question is: How do I gt rid of this Start Menu2?
Thanks! |

| I asked a similar question awhile back with using RegScrubXP 3.25. If I recall, I was advised that a handful of entries are recreated in the registry during startup, if they have been deleted prior to shutdown.
By the way, JV16 Power Tools 1.4 has been released, but it is no longer freeware. The new version will cost $30.00.

| That sucks doesn't it Frank , jv16 powertools is an awesome tool that works well. The new version is awesome but I don't know about $30, what bothers me is that nowhere on his site does he really say it's $30, you find out after you install it. I think that's wrong, you should be up front about the product.

| Yah those entries are created as a "Backup" of your exisiting start menu.
Heck Im surprised that MS doesnt have a third entry as they seem to enjoy "triple" redundancy.
Doesnt hur to delete them, cause they will just be recreated anyway.
And no, as much as I like Jordi's tool I would not pay $30 for it. Hopefully he will reconsider that and make it donationware. IE you can continue to use it by donating what you think it's worth and what you can afford…
