I just got an older laptop for some field work and stuff,  love it except for how loud the 3.5" floppy is!  I'm going to have it apart to upgrade the ram anyways...is there anyway to clean/lube the floppy to quiet it down some?

just disable it like i did


device manager,select the noisy floppy and disable it
