| ok....check this one out...no matter what type of PCI MODEM I put in.....I get a BLUE SCREEN STOP ERROR. Ok.... but when I use my NIC no problems at all. Brand new modem all that too same issue. I dont understand. No matter what pci slot I put modems into they still get same blue screen stop error. And when I try to load into safe mode it stops at a certain point after its scrolling of drivers and files. Any ideas? This ONLY happens when I try to put a modem card in. I look in the task bar and notice its installing a PCI modem as it detects then BOOM! blue screen, but this happens with the last 6 different kinds of modems and 3 are brand spankin new. Crazy if you ask me since I use DSL and am just tryin this on my other system.

| Does your system have a built in Modem....if so try disabling it in Bios setup.

| Is that a KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED error? If so, first thing you might want to try is a bios upgrade if one is available.

| That stop error is generally caused by hardware conflicts, so I'm guessing that your modem has some conflicts, but different modems in different PCI slots still cause this, that is strange.
