| Hi: When I run all the tests at Sygates page, everything is Blocked. i.e. Stealth Test,TCP Test and UDP Test. However, when I run the port tests at Gibson's site, Port 1025 is OPEN. The only way I can block this port is by enabling the XP firewall also. Are these tests reliable and should I be concerned? I am aware of the fact that it not a good idea to use "two firewalls" at the same time but I know of no other way to "close" this port. Should I "Un-install" my "Sygate" and just use the XP Firewall?-or use both? Any replies will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

| Yes I have noticed the same thing. However, I hope to keep "Sygate" if possible. I am just wondering if the tests are accurate as Gibsion is a propenent of "Zone Alarm". I had many problems with Zone Alarm i.e my Instant Messenger wouldn't send or receive files was one problem . I have had no problems with "Sygate" as it doesn't interfere with anything I choose to do.

| I play several different online games and use several different instant message programs and not once have I had problems with ZA. ZA pops up a window asking if I wish to give this program access to the internet, and I just click yes or no. have you tried the newest ZA?

| Why don't you just create an Advanced Rule in Sygate to block that port?

I must admit that I do not know how to do that. Except for "Unchecking" all of the "Act as server", my Sygate settings are at "Default".
