| Even though your sound is working normally i would suggest you try uninstalling/reinstalling your sound/card drivers.
Check on the manufacturers website for sound driver updates.
Also check on your motherboard manufacturers website for chipset driver and BIOS updates.
If still no joy try contacting your microphone manufacturers technical support.

| Ok Richie, I could not find the sound card drivers. The one Dell reccomended to me to download for my computer with the service tag I entered told me 'no product installed' or something like that. Also I have no idea what my motherboard is, B2nxx81 is my Dell service tag. Can them being out of date randomly cause my mic to stop working? I had one that was kind of bad then it stopped working mid sentence. I bought another and it didn't work. I then used a standing mic and that didn't work either.

| With all you have done it would be my guess the mic input jack isn't up to par. Not easy to fix, on a Desktop can disable onboard sound and use an Add-in PCI Sound card, harder to accomplish on a Notebook/Laptop.
