I work for a company that has started selling XP computer finally.  Well I recently setup about 22 XP computer in the office to "train" people on our software.  I did not register XP because I was just going to ghost them after I was done.  So my question is how can I keep the reminder to register from popping up.  There is an taskbar option that you can set to always hide, but as clever as Microsoft is, they named the days differenty.  For instance, 29 days until registration, you can set that to always hide, but then the next day 28 days until registration pops up.  and so on.  What can I do in the future to keep them from popping up?  thanks

The only legal way to do this is with a corporate version of XP which allows installation on more than one computer. Any other methods will not be discussed here, sorry.

I am just wating to disable the reminder, not "shut down" the registration so that I dont have to register it.

If you do that, you will render all computers useless except one.  One person registers then someone else does, which will inevitably lead to an undesirable conflict.  Registration in Windows XP is based on the CD, not the person who owns the computer.

What you're doing is (strictly speaking) not illegal, but your customers will complain that they have trouble registering, and 30 days after you installed the first copy they will no longer be able to boot.  The only way you can do what you want to do is working with a Corporate Edition CD as j79zlr pointed out.

I think he's saying:  how can he stop the pop-up from popping-up on the 22 training computers that he has.

OK, if that is the case, I seen the term ghost used and disabling registration notification, so I figured....

Anyway, you can disable popup notifications with the btch file here
