| Hi there,
I recently purchased a new motherboard and all is installed and working fine, that's not the problem. But yesterday I opened the box in came in and stumbled upon a strange piece of equiptment, and I don't know what it is or what is is used for because if my motherboard/system needs it, then I could be in trouble because it's obviously not connected. lol!
I have attached pictures of the device... sorry for the bad quality, hope you can make it out. It is a 4 pin connection with a round box like thingy on top with a little hole in, and when I look in the hole, it appears to have a dark transparent view to it inside.
Edit: Also, it does not mention this little device at all in the motherboard manual.
Thanks guys and girls.

| That is the motherboard speaker, provides the tones from the BIOS when things aren't right. You should plug it into the pins marked Speaker on the motherboard. Look in the manual [if you have it] for location and polarity.
