| at my desktop i dont have a dsl or lan connection to use my dsl how do i get one or make one i can connect using dial but dail sux i wanna use my dsl im using dsl on my laptop so i noe that the dsl works why dont i have a network. the first day i that the dsl was activated it it worked and i had no problems but like 5 hours later it disconnected my aim and my msn then for somereason i didnt have my lan or dsl connection. i tried to reformat and it still didnt work pls help |

| Welcome to TweakXP raphael3988 , your post is a bit unclear. Are you saying you have a DSL connection? Are you saying you are having connection problems? If you want to share your connection then just buy a router.

| | well im not new but after the new boards i just resingned up but ok the problem is i dont have a network at all inotherwords i cannot connect through dsl or use any highspeed connection. if you go to start-connect to-show all connections on normal computers there are connections called local area connection and on my computer i do not have that and that is wat is needed to connect to a high speed connection my question is how do i get this back because even reformatting doesnt restore it |

| Are your PCs physically connected through cabling or wireless?

| To share an Internet connection, your computers need to be networked. You need a network card in each PC. Connect the two PCs with a cross over cable OR with a patch cable through a switch or hub.
