| Hey, when I try to either install or start certain programs i get this error message titled
"illegal system DLL relocation"
"The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occured because the dll c:/windows/system32/SHELL32.dll occupied an adress range reserved for windows system DLLs/ The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL"
have no idea what this means?
Can any one help?
Thanks. |

| In that case then,i suggest you download SP3 from the link below, then install it over the current installation.
You should then be able to uninstall it.
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=5B33B5A8-5E76-401F-BE08-1E1555D4F3D4&displaylang=en
I suggest you create a new System Restore point before making a start, just as a precautionary measure.
Create a new 'System Restore' point:
Click on Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.
In the 'System Restore' window, click 'Create a Restore Point' button, then click 'Next'.
In the window that appears, enter a description, then click on 'Create',then click 'Close'.
The date and time is created automatically.

| I downloaded and installed SP3 over the initial SP3, restarted as instructed then tried to uninstall it again however still received the same error messages as before.
Guess there is no way of getting rid of it then? |

| | ok just tried to install the program that i was before (the one that wouldn't let me because of the DLL relocation) and it worked first time so i guess this final release of SP3 that i just installed fixed it up. Cheers. |
