IE freezes

When I start my PC and open IE it initial locks up - I have to 'go to process' and 'end process'. Afterwards I can open IE, type in the site and it works. Also, sometimes when I have a few tabs open and go to open another it freezes up and I have to close IE. The main problem is the first thing I wrote. Help?

First try running IE7 in (No Add-ons) mode:

Then try resetting Internet Explorer IE7 settings back to default by following these instructions in the link below.
Make sure you read all the info before making a start.
