| Just did a fresh install of Vista Ultimate since it was fried, did everything correctly to perform a fresh installation. Well this is a laptop. Now this silly restart feature doesn't work? Any help here? Maybe make an alternate shutdown button?

| Based on the two posts you've made, apparently you did something wrong during the installation. Did you format first? Since it's a brand new install I'd suggest starting over again - first format, then install.

| Yes i did a complete format. Did an fdisk since i had the drive previously partitioned for multiple boots. One it was formatted I booted from the CD-rom, but it won't kill me to re-do it... =-]
