| | I'm considering building a new PC with Vista. From what I have read, Vista Ultimate comes with both 32bit and 64bit DVDs for installation. (Please correct me if I'm wrong about this.) I'm a photographer that currently uses 2 networked PCs in my work process. I convert & edit with the first PC, which has Win XP Pro 64bit. Due to the absence of 64bit drivers for my printers, I have to print via my second PC running Win XP Pro 32bit. I want to be able to both edit and print from the new PC I will be building. Can I load both 32bit and 64bit Vista Ultimate on the new PC with a single purchase of Vista Ultimate (could be a dumb question!). - OR must I make 2 separate purchases to install both 32bit & 64bit? - And then use a dual boot option to load either one? Hopefully, I have explained my situation with clarity. Any suggestions are appreciated!

The DVD comes with all 4 versions of either the 32-bit or the 64-bit and when desiring to upgrade to another version all you need buy is a new CD Key, e.g. have Home Basic installed but want to upgrade to Home Premium or have Home Premium but need Business or have Business and need Ultimate.
I think the dual-boot scenario would be the only way to have both 32-bit and 64-bit on the same computer but you'd probably be better off with 2 HDDs instead of one HDD with two partitions.

| | Thank you. I will definitely have 2 hard drives. I've also been reading about Microsoft's Virtual PC, which may be another option. Any comments on this program?

| VirtualPC works pretty good, install it in the newest OS then open VPC and install other OSes in it. I have it on a Notebook using WinXP with MS-DOS 6.22 as one installation and Win95B as another.
