| hi friends i am not able to place my volume icon on my task bar. when i went to control panel -->sound,speech and audio devices-->sounds and audio devices i am getting this message as shown in the attachment. however when i insert my Windows Xp Sp2 Cd i am not able to proceed further can u guide me in this regard

| Volume icon is not displayed in the notification area, and you receive an error message when you try to add it:
