| | Anybody else have issues when trying to access Control Panel? Every time I attempt to access it, the system stops and says that Control Panel is Not Responding. It's pissing me off. I need to get in to help fix another problem I'm having with WMP. |

| First backup the registry by doing the following.
Click on Start/All Programs/Accessories/Run,copy and paste the following bold text into the 'Open:' space,then press OK
regedit /e c:\registrybackup.reg
It won't appear to be doing anything,that's normal.
Your mouse pointer may have an hour glass along side it for a minute or so.
Please be patient and continue when the hour glass disappears.
Copy and paste ALL the following text in the code box below into Notepad.
Click on Start/All Programs/Accessories/Notepad.
Click on File(in the menu at the top)>Save as../Save as Type: 'All Files' /File name: fix.reg to your desktop.
Then double click on the fix.reg file on your desktop and agree to merge the information into the registry,then restart your pc.

If the above does'nt help,make sure all your drivers are up to date,specially video and sound.
If still no joy,do the following:
Download Trend Micro HijackThis 2.0.2 to your desktop:
Double click on HJTInstall.exe,it will prompt you to extract hijackthis.exe to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis.
When the install is complete,HijackThis will automatically launch.
When the license agreement appears,select "I Accept" and then click on the "Do a system scan only" button.
When the scan is complete,click on the "Save Log" button,then save it to your desktop.
Copy and paste the entire contents of that log into a new topic in the HijackThis Logs forum, not here.
