| | My twin bother and I are trying to share a DSL connection over a router. We can both use the internet browser, and outlook. But I am the only one that can use things like MSN messenger, AIM, online games. We have gone through and made SURE that every setting in the properties for Local Area Connection are the same! everything but the IP address, we offset them by one number, the last digit of course. We can't figure it out. We have removed the NIC card and reinstalled it, we even removed it and went through with REGEDIT and removed everything that had to do with the 3com card! Oh and I am unable to ping his computer usng the DOS prompt as well. Any one have any ideas? |

| It sounds like you have static ip's. Make sure that you have DHCP disabled in the routers settings. Or enable it and set both pc's to obtain the address automatically.
