| Just what it says, LOl.
I'm trying to add a hub, to keep the vonage downstream of the puter, and hopefully get back a decent connection.
The problem is that for whatever reason, even connected directly to the modem, the desktop is still showing limited/no connectivity. We didn't install any software for the vonage, or change any settings. But the pc seems incapible of recognizing its connection without the vonage router in the way (and thus crippling the dl speed).
I've tried disabling/re-enabiling, wizards, etc. (and for some reason, the desktop can't renew its ip when this is happening)
If I'm making some incredibly ignorant mistake, can someone please let me know? (or at least point me toward a decent tutorial)

I'm not in the land of total idiots, but I can see it from here.... |

| It seems that you're not the only one with this problem.
Here is a link to Broadband Reports with a very possible solution.

| Actually the lousy connection through the vonage router is what started this.
I got a hub, and was going to run it like this:
Cable modem--hub--pc
\
\
vonage--phone
But when I hooked up to the hub, I get the "no/limited connectivity" message, and the same thing happens when I hook the pc directly to the CM. The only time my NIC seems happy is hooked to that cursed router! WT?
Also, if I try to repair the connection, it claims not to be able to renew my ip.
Thanks

| You're welcome.
We all have one of those DOH! moments. Sometimes, I feel as if I have one of those lives.
