Sadly, after a good run from the last time i got help from tweaks.com it seems I'm back into some trouble. There seems to be a list of symptoms including: unable to run programs properly (most of which freeze after a couple of minutes, or in the case of MSN in a matter of seconds), then after this initial freezing and ending task etc, the programs can not be re-opened (i try open, the process appears in the task manager, but nothing happens beyond that (nothing appears on screen)). This means I have to be using another computer to try get rid of this, because it has pretty much rendered the other one useless in terms of internet. After a few nights I've come to the conclusion that the source of the problem is a process under the name of "msiexec.exe" and/or "svchost.exe". Both of which are normal Windows components, but however in the case of msiexec.exe it is showing up in the task manager even when i am not actually running any installations. Here is a link to what i believe is the issue (although i have never had AOL instant messenger, so i'm not sure how i received it): http://www.ca.com/us/securityadvisor/virusinfo/virus.aspx?id=43062.

I have CA anti-virus just so you know, and have done both full spyware and anti-virus scans with nothing showing up and yet still the problem continues. Any help would be greatly appreciated in getting rid of the problem. Thanks.

Download Trend Micro HijackThis 2.0.2 to your desktop:
Double click on HJTInstall.exe,it will prompt you to extract hijackthis.exe to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis.
When the install is complete,HijackThis will automatically launch.
When the license agreement appears, select "I Accept" and then click on the "Do a system scan only" button.
When the scan is complete, click on the "Save Log" button, then save it to your desktop.
Copy and paste the entire contents of that log into a new topic in the HijackThis Logs forum, not here.
