I have done many tweaks to decrease my boot, but its still the same as before.  Sometimes it will boot up faster than usual, but then when i install a program, it returns back to original speed.  These are the tweaks i did.

Ran MS config and i only have 2 things running (AC_Monitor_x83 and AcBtnMgr_x83 [there for my printer])

I went to Black vipers site and i disabled the servies that i didnt need.

Cleaned the registry with RegCleaner (www.jv16.org)

Ran Bootvis Many times

Defragging twice a week

checkd for spyware and i have none (spybot - search and destroy)

SO far, when i boot, when it shows the windows xp screen, and the little blue scroll bar moving across the screen, it goes around about 10 times, but my fastest was 4 times.  what else can i do???

is there any other things i should do to increase boot time?

You should also run Ad-aware in conjunction with spy-bot if you aren't already.  http://www.lavasoftusa.com/

Oh "INCREASE" your boot time?  Download anything by Gator.  You could also try hosing off your components occasionally.

Try BootVis from Microsoft. And disabled any components which you do not need in BIOS.

In conjunction with msconfig, you should download this excellent program --- > http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/ the startup list generator is much more comprehensive than msconfig and will tell you exactly what is running when you boot.

pho3nixn is right about ad-aware as this will pick up different things that spybot leaves behind, also try Spy Sweeper from www.webroot.com and Spyware Blaster to prevent spyware

I can't think of anything that hasn't been mentioned yet, but you shouldn't defrag that often.

First of all, defragmenting the hard drive in Windows XP hardly makes for a difference in speed.

Secondly, the Windows XP defragger compresses files, and the more compressed files you have the slower your system will be (as they need to be uncompressed before opening).  By defragmenting twice a week, you're not really giving the files enough time to be labeled as "occasionally used" or "often used".  Defrag once a month, then the defragger will compress files that haven't been used in long and will reposition all files in a way that suits you best.
