| | i have a question for you. i bought a laptop ages ago with pre-installed vista. now i want to install that copy of windows (acer laptop copy) onto another computer (non acer). do you know any hacks how to enable that other computer to think that its the acer laptop and activate that product key i have from my actual acer pc? |

| Doing what you desire is first illegal and second may not work as the Windows disk is allowed to be coded by the OEM so as to be usable only on that brand hardware and maybe only on certain models.
Advising someone how to circumvent the legal requirements of a program simply to save money will not happen on legitimate forums, will leave the adviser open to legal repercussions from the publisher of the software.

| Your English was quite understandable.
Using isn't the first issue. Simply installing a branded Windows OEM CD on a different brand computer is illegal. The odds are it won't install on any other brand or Custom computer.
Even purchasing an OEM version of Windows allows use only on the first computer it is installed on. Check the EULA/End User License Agreement. This is a bit easier to read:

| Only the Ultimate version of Windows Vista has a transferable license. Other versions are licensed only for the device it came on.
