Hi, My name is Victor, I am an O.A.P. with 'limited' computer experience, but plenty of (needed) patience and enthusiasm.

 I am running Windows XP professional and have somehow lost sound to speakers. All plugs are secure, speaker lights are on, volumes to all 'sound ' panels in 'control Panel' are maximum and there is sound from speakers if I remove speaker plug and earth it to chassis. Would someone kindly open my window so I can I throw it out.....? Or better still....offer some  help?
