When I click the website link to listen to my favourite radio station(talk sport in the uk) I get a 404 error saying I cant connect. However I have managed to connect before so something must have changed but I cant fathom out what. When i try the link using the windows 2000 system on my system at work, it works fine. Any ideas where I should look for the answer?

thanks for your help

Jas1, welcome to the Forum.

I presume your subject header should read WMP9 (as in Windows Media Player?).  As a first go at this one, are you using a firewall?  You also stated that you 'clicked on a website link' which suggests you are in some form of browser - my next point: do you have cookies enabled as some sites won't let you play unless a cookie may reside on your PC during the session (Check Tools>Internet Options>Privacy in Internet Explorer if that is what you're running)?

I'm 'hunting' a little on this one and perhaps I can stimulate someone else to pipe in with either a similar experience or even a solution.

Remain patient, we'll do what we can!

Hi jas1,

Are you using a popup stopper of some sort or have you checked your Hosts file for any entries you did not put there ?

Cheers
