| | Hello, I commited the same mistake again but forgot how to solve it. I manually changed the generic folder icon thru tools --- folder options ---file types. But now every time I double click a folder instead of openning, a search window appears, could anyone help me to restore the function. thanx |

| Click on Start>Run, type Regedit then press Enter.
Navigate to the following key:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\directory\shell
Double click on (Default) in the right hand pane.
In the opening 'Edit String' box,set the 'Value data' to the word: none
Press OK,exit regedit,restart your pc.
