I just want to make clear that I'm a total hack and any advice given by me should be taken with a huge grain of salt.

Okay, that's an exageration but not far off. My wife and I have had (and still have) Macs for quite some time. This is my first Windows system and I'm slowly learning the ins and outs. I helped a friend build a custom system about 6 months ago and we did pretty well so I must have learned something.

My first name is David and my last name sounds like "Picasso". Since my circle of friends has so many Davids everyone just calls me "Cassi", get it? Yeah, me neither. Anyhow, that explains my user name and now you know a little about level of experience...minimal at best!

I've been using this forum for just a couple of months now and I've gathered some valuable info in that short time. Most everyone seems eager to help and the staff is excellent, I'm really glad I found you guys.

My question is Whay are you moving away from your Mac.  OS X is so much cleaner and more powerful.

We still have a G4 with OSX. It's nice to have both, they each have their strengths. Why do you think OSX is more powerful?

Where do I start?

OS X never crashes.

Does not hog resources.

Do not have to worry about Viruses.

Is more organized.

Ooo, yeah, I've opened a big can of worms haven't I? Well, I'll just take your word for it. The "Mac vs. PC" thing has been debated ad nauseam, let's not go there. As I said before "it's nice to have both, they each have their strengths."
