| Ok.....i bought my laptop with xp home installed from dell.....buddy of mine had xp pro and i installed it......and now i want to remove xp pro....i am no computer guru but can hold my own mostly....could anyone give me any assistance?

| | Did you install WinXP Pro as an upgrade or replacement of WinXP HE? Were you prompted to save the uninstall files and are they listed in Add/Remove Programs? Note, if he has WinXP Pro already installed you cannot use his CD Key and Activate on your computer, can be installed on only one computer at a time. Your WinXP HE CD Key shouldn't have worked with his CD. |

| all i know is that i installed on xp pro installed by my friend and it works......i just want it off my laptop....where do i begin?
