| When you were kicked to the desktop were there any error messages and what is your hardware setup? I own BF2 also, great game but it can have a lot more hardware demands than EA GAMES want to say. For one I had a ATI Radeon 9200-AGP 8x with 128MB which mets the minimum requirements, to make a long store short it didn't work and I had to buy a better card.

| | Are there any message? Did you do the BF2 updates available online? Did you update the video driver, motherboard and even bios in some cases. I believe the 9800 pro is one of the cards they said will work and have tested. ( on there BF2 site)

| Are you running any kind of mods? There's a mod called WCC, it's a co-op mod. Mine has crashed to desktop a few times and if I run WCC, then close it out, I can then run regular BF2 again.
