| Hello all After installing sp2, I have been getting a lot of 'Out of memory' messages and then applications close. I can't work out why, because when I look, there seems to be plenty available. This happens with all sorts of applications from MS Word to Championship Manager! Even if I only have one application open, it can still happen. If anyone has experienced this and can help, I would be very grateful. I have other things that have happenned since installing sp2, but I'll save those for now! Many thanks Mikey |

| | have you run virus scanners and a few adware/malware scanners to make sure that there are no programs running in the background that are mining your memory? |

| Have you expanded available memory in performance settings? right click My Computer and open properties click on advanced tab and under performance click settings a new window will open and select advanced tab now you can select what has authority wether it be background services or programs..... but below on virtual memory try setting it to something like 4000MB (4GB) just for troubleshooting sake and restart your PC. I have noticed in the past with my 128 ram pc this solves most everything with no memory. |
