Firstly, I really didn't know where to put this topic, so please move it if you feel necessary.

I have just bought a Matsui DTR 1 Freeview Box, and upon opening the
packaging, I found there was no instruction manual. Obviously this
caused difficulties with connecting and tuning in the box.

Does anybody here have this box, and if so, could you please tell me
how to connect to my TV, and how to tune in the Freeview Box itself to
be able to receive the digital channels.

For your information, my TV is also a Matsui, connected through a video
recorder with one SCART socket. The freeview box has two SCART sockets
on it.

I've tried Googling the whole thing, can't find anything all that useful. Thanks for your help.

I have recently bought a Plasma Screen Tv and needed to buy a freeview digi box to receive channels (as the Tv does not have a built in tuner). Setting up the freeview box was really easy, I just plugged a scart cable from the digi box to the Plasma and once the freeview box was turned on - it auto-tunes via the on-screen menu.

The plasma only had 1 scart input so I had to use alternate methods to connect my DVD player and my video / Surround sound. If your Tv only has 1 scart input then I assume you would have to use this for your freeview box, you may be able to plug your video into the second scart on your digibox. I had to use the second scart on my freeview box to carry the sound to my amp, so I connected my video via a (scart to RGB) connection.

Hope this helps
